The Procedure

Regardless if you choose to be sedated for your procedure or stay awake, most patients are in and out of our office within an hour on their surgery day. Since sedated patients cannot have anything to eat or drink 6 hours prior to surgery, many of these patients choose an early morning surgery appointment. That way they do not have to be hungry or thirsty all day. Thursday mornings are also a very popular day for wisdom tooth surgery since swelling peaks 2-3 days after surgery. These patients want their worst recovery days to be over the weekend.

When you arrive for your surgery you can feel relaxed and calm because we will have already answered all of your questions and addressed your concerns at the complimentary consultation appointment. You will have already had the chance to fill your prescriptions and stock your fridge with ice cream.

Most surgeries are less than 15 minutes. You will spend more time making goofy videos of yourself than you will spend in surgery. Dr. Chisdak has an impeccable reputation as being an amazing surgeon throughout this greater Gallatin Valley region. Ask around!

We will discuss your recovery with you and your family and provide you with all the information and supplies that you will need for a comfortable recovery. Most patients are back to their regular routine within the week. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to answer your questions or address any concerns. 406-587-0767
