Fractures

When a facial or jaw fracture occurs, it can be a very painful and scary experience. Most fractures of the face and jaw need to be repaired, then stabilized with surgery. Once a fracture is stable, the bones can begin to heal and the patient can start the healing process. Dr. Chisdak’s surgery center specializes in the structures of the face, including soft tissue and bone structures. Our familiarity and expertise with facial fractures after injuries and accidents has combined to create some amazing results. Many of our patients say that the injured area is undetectable after the healing phase is complete. Whether you have been referred to our practice by an emergency room physician, or have found our specialty practice on your own, be assured that our staff has taken care of hundreds of patients with facial injuries in our warm and caring environment.

During your initial visit with us, we will discuss your specific injury and determine what treatment is needed. If your situation requires extensive treatment, we will plan the entire experience together and help coordinate your care.

Surgery and stabilization of fractures vary depending on the severity of the injury. Often times, surgery to repair a fracture can be performed in our office the same day as your initial exam. Other fractures require time set aside in the Operating Room at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.

As a courtesy, we will file a claim with your covered insurance company and work together with you in determining a financial plan, if needed.

Our practice prides itself on excellent surgical care in a warm and friendly environment. We understand that injuries are an unexpected event and that you and your loved ones may have many questions. We will work closely with you, answering your questions and concerns, so that you understand your care every step of the way.
